Presenting: GGB. Ghetto GunBlade Mark 1 ***56K***

Post by HotDog-Cart » Wed Jul 25, 2007 10:54 am

Hey, for the last few days I got very bored. So I decided to make a gunblade from Final Fantasy 8. This gunblade is based on Squalls revolver gunblade. It didnt take long to make either. 2 days at max.

(Next. I'll be making Seifers gunblade out of wood. Its going to be a near replica of Seifers gunblade.)

Materials:
"Nerf"-like foam
PBC pipe
Plastic Revolver
Gorilla Glue (Way stronger then superglue)
Black chisel tip Magic Marker
Duck Tape

Pictures. (Sorry for the quality)

Neat. Be careful though, people might mistake it for a really long silencer. :P

Haha, I was told the same thing from my freind. :D

I need to work on this somehow though. I had 2 of these, and when I swung my last one it broke right at the part where the glue (white) is at.

How could I prevent breaking in this one?

Yea, use stronger glue. Totally makes sence when Gorilla Glue is the strongest multi purpose glue. Its like expensive for a tiny bottle. More then $25.

What about plastic glue, the kind for models that liquefies the plastic and melts them together? There's no single-best glue for everything.

Well, even if I bought that. This glue cant be broken off. Its harder then rock. Also, I dont feel like swinging it to break it off as the gun base might crack like last time.

Elmer's Ultra Glue is great for every material, including plastic. When I used it and needed to remove it the plastic broke before the glue joint.
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...

Where the hell did you go that you got charged that much? Does Canada have Lowes/Home Depot?

Yes we do. They carry Gorilla tape, I know that. Never looked for Gorilla glue, and it's not on the website. I'm assuming they have it though.

Remeber that some items can cost 15% more in Canada due to various factors beyond my current caring-ness. That's a word.

So if a bottle of glue costs $10 to you, it could be $15 to us. Not including taxes. Then taxes just for Ontario. Or the exchange rate. That makes for a $18 bottle, nearly double.

But that could very well be an exaggerated rate.

My dad said it cost near $20. I've seen it at home hardware for $25.

I have a bottle of it in my kitchen right now, borrowed from a friend. Price tag says $25.
