Ghetto Gunblade Mark 2 & 3 Progress Thread *56k*

Post by HotDog-Cart » Sat Jul 28, 2007 6:54 pm

This is a progress thread about my Ghetto Gunblade Mark 2.

This is a gunblade based off of seifers hyperion gunblade.

This gunblade is being built out of wood, and will be sanded and painted when its all done.

First I start out with peice of laminated wood thats 4 feet tall, and 3/4 in. thick.

Then, I look at some pictures on the internet, and start to draw a bulkier version of Seifers Hyperion Gunblade. (Thicker and wider for durability and because I have to cut it out and sand it still.

Next comes working on the middle and end of the blade.

Then a picture of the whole sword.

The sword is estimated to be 4 feet tall. Awkward to hold, but people will know I mean buisness. :D

Hope you guys like it.

I should have it cut out soon.

Maybe its because I have a "fine motor skills" disability?

My hands shake and tremble a lot, and I use a computer to do work instead of a writing utensil. Infact I havnt used a pencil in years.

my hands shake a lot too, makes soldering a pain but there is a such thing as a straight edge (ruler you know) my best suggestion to make a good looking gunblade is to find a gun you like, print out a large (or to scale) image of it and cut it out and paste it on there or trace it or replicate it as best you can some other way then draw the blade off of that.

Im not sure why your stomach is hurthing, but you didnt happen to stab yoru self with your last gunblade did you? Or was it that pesky exacto knife. I use one every day and unbelievably i havent cut my self yet. *knocks on wood* Hope this turns out really sweet. I liked the last one.

Why not just print it out and use a weak water-based glue (like a glue stick). The outline will be on the wood and you have a very clear line. I've done this while in wood shop and it's great when dealing with fine detail, but will work equally well here.

Well just be carefull, I mean you stabbed yourself in the stomach with an X-Acto knife, and I'd hate to see what you'd do with a Jigsaw...
Why is it that every time I post in a thread, it dies?
