Hi guys do you like this project I just finished it was super easy. I'm trying to decide if it's worth even making up directions. I'm calling it a "portable" because we built it in 3 sections so it can be easily movable.

You should make more interchangeable pieces so you can have countless amounts of play fields! :P

Actually, I don't play too much golf. I made it for my daughter's upcoming 5 year old birthday party.

:D

Sky, we definitely thought of making it interchangable, but our tight deadline & limited supplies kind of got in our way. But next time.....

Wow man, cool project! As a golfer, I can definitely respect the practicality of something like that, and the fact that you built it for your kid's birthday party gets you +5 on the "Cool Dad" scale, too. Your daughter must really love you!

Oh, and a bit of a question: How much was the astro turf? This may be a worthwhile project...

Well we bought a 12 foot long & 2 & 1/2 wide piece from Home depot. It was the cheapest kind. It came to about $18. This whole project came in at around $50 total.

(Thanks for the kind words)

Nice stuff! Very impressive considering your budget.
