Site Update

Post by benheck »

The site is supposed to be copied to a new server soon, so it's possible that data will be lost from the forums / comments if the data is copied before the DNS changes.

I would expect this to happen sometime today, so you have been warned.

Well ok. Jones helped me get the DNS ready, and I've told them to copy the files, so now it's a matter of waiting until they've done that, then redirecting the name servers.

Likely this will happen sometime today. They say the DNS can take a few days to change over, but from what I've seen it's more like several hours. So yes, continue to go light on posting to be safe. I'll keep ya'll updated.

Is this why we're occasionally getting PHP errors? (it complains about message_die and database stuff.)
