switching back to Windows...

Post by SpongeBuell » Sun Feb 06, 2005 1:02 am

since Microsoft finally made a free operating system, Windows RG. Believe me, it is definitely an improvement. It is much more stable, and has all the programs Windows uses (Linux is good with the clones, but nothing can replace the real thing)

there is even an internet version, which is the exact same. Try it here. No install necessary, just run it from the page!

SpongeBuell, are you sure about the improvements, don't you think its a bit silly? And are you very very sure Microsoft did it?

what in the hell are you people doing to your windows machines to make such a flash actually seem plausible to you? I've had ZERO BSODs since january 2004, I've only had one program crash on me, and I've had one error not based on my own stupidity since purchasing this. how are you people getting crashes every five minutes?!

linux didn't work at all for me. half the media files would crap out partway, I couldn't get online with it...

okay, that's all I'm remembering at the moment. still worse than windows, though.

Reminded me of 98. How programs just crash, you have to hit the escape key like 50 times before the blue screen of death went away.

I personally like linux more, more flavors for setting up themes and the windows manager (explore is bland like wheat crackers). I'm still migrating though.

I just really hope that under linux my computer doesnt reboot as soon as I get to the menu of a DVD like it does in Windows.

P.S. Doesnt it seem funny most of us hate Windows but it doesnt become as bad as slashdot or anyother sites like it?

I don't hate Windows, I just can't afford it.
