I've never really seen anything bad except the displays at the retail stores. Are people that s***ty to electronics?

I hate it when little kids see a new game system and say they want it and their parents are stupid and get it for them, and it ends up broken or unused in a week. I haven't seen any messed up controllers, but I almost every DS I've seen has the screen(s) scratched to death.

I saw a ds with a stylus stabbed into the top screen.

Attention all stupid n00bs
: Just because Zens don't break after a year does not make them inferior. Zens are much better than iPods, and they implement OLED screens. If you support the technology, you'll get a Zen. If you support the iPod craze (that is, people buying new, next-model-up iPods every year because their old one broke) get an iPod.

The displays around here are always treated with care. I have a feeling other normal people feel awkward walking in to such stores. I've never even seen a missing button. Canadians treat their public electronics with care and respect!

This has to be one of the worst, most prejudicial, and stereotype-based post I've wrote so far.

Attention all Apple naysayers: Just because you can't afford an iPod and/or are not careful with your stuff, that doesn't mean they suck either.

"Zens are much better than iPods" Are we going to back that up with facts or are we just going to spout blatant fanboyism?

I'm not saying Zens suck, but iPods don't either. (Zunes do but that's beside the point . I might get one eventually to run videos on, as long as they have a good Linux build for them. Really it's the software that's the real turn-off.)

Lets get this back on topic, 'k? :)

I think the consoles at K-Mart are the worst. The one nearest me has a PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox set up for play. All the controllers are toast, the consoles are probably dead from being sealed inside a case together, and the screens are so bad you couldn't see anything even if the consoles worked. Naturally the display DS is scratched, and it looks like someone used a pen to play games on it.

I just wanna say, my zen was 125 dollars cheaper then a ipod, has a bigger screen and I don't have to convert everything, It also has better battery life.

Woah, chill with the flames. I'm not implying that Zens are inferior to iPods by any way. I wasn't saying anything technologically wise, but rather financially. iPods are pricy, it's a sad fact. It doesn't matter if Zens may be better tech wise, but I think I feel better giving that to a kid than an iPod. Sorry if I offended anybody? At least Bic understands :-/. So before calling me a stupid n00b, let me rephrase what I said, and take into mind we're talking in a topic about what little kids do to nice pieces of electronics.

Kinda like Every 360 I tried to play at ANY store would always Lock-up on me, but I love the 360, they just neglect to cool them at the stores causeing them to crash.
