Pepper just turned 2, my old hamster lived for 4 year though.

I think my last one had a heart attack, he was real fat and like a year old.

Yay kitties! Our old cat was about 17 when he died from a tumor. (If we had it removed he would have lost the use of his front leg.) My grandfather's cat was really tiny; she weighed about 5 pounds, but she lived to be about 22.

Ok, guess I gotta tell my kitty story...

My parents had a little kitten named Katie before I was born. Soon, my mom discovered that she was allergic. They had to give her to my dad's parents. A while after that, they moved to an apartment that doesn't allow pets, so they gave it to their relatives (I'm pretty sure they were related, at least... a bit distantly, though) About a year ago, my parents got a letter from those relatives saying that this cat died.

My mom talked about Katie to our neighbor (a veterinary assistant) a few months later during some neighborhood get-together. My neighbor asked what the name of the owners are, and she told her. "Oh, Katie! She was such a sweetie!" Turns out, my neighbor was that cat's vet.

And, since this is a photo thread which is turning into a pet thread of sorts as well, I should show you guys a dog I may be getting once I get to live off campus. This is Lani, a 1.5 year old Golden Retriever. She belongs to my cousin out in Hawaii, was abandoned when they got her. They didn't really care to bring her in permanantly, so I'm seriously considering flying her over to Wisconsin within the next year or so.

Wow this makes me so sad since I had some really good pets and they had unfortunate accidents

I three dogs that were really good,
one as a beagel/terrier mix and was a nice pet, smart too, could climb a fence

another was a border collie that was 10x better than the weather channel, she woudl always wanna come inside during a storm, the storms would disorient her and that eventually led to her being ran over during the morning traffic around here

and most recent was our hound mutt that liked to ride in our truck, too bad she got hit my a car in the morning traffic as well

Now I have a bamillion cats, two dogs, and horse, but none of them are as good as some of those previous pets I had... now I'm sad
