This stuff has been on NESDev for years, including the lists of mappers, cartridge sizes, and the methods of swaping out the chips.

Furthermore, I'm not sure it's as legal as this site says. some of the games on that list have since been distributed on different mediums, such as the Final Fantasy games which were later on PlayStation and more recently on GBA, and his Mother 1 was actually a western NES Proto in the final stages of development. That "Earthbound" title screen is from that Proto ROM. I highly doubt that was legal.

Furthermore, I'd like to say that you should only load ROMs of Homebrew origins to your cartridges.
Warranty-Voiding fun!

More to the point though: Any unauthorized duplication of these roms in any form (burned to cartridge or just copied over the internet) is illegal as it would be a copyright violation. Just because the game wasn't released does not mean it is exempt from copyright law.

That being said, since they were never released it is doubtfull that anyone really gives a damn. Besides which, copyright lasts a rediculously long time in the US so a little civil disobediance is in order anyway.

yes minus the the A-D levels that are on the All-Stars version.

I just wonder how different these are from the originals. As a collector, I'd hate to be scammed into a Flintstones 2 or Stadium Events reproduction.

basically he replaces one of the chips in the cart you send him with a chip that has the game you want on it then he puts a new label on it.

cost 25 bucks for most of the ones on there some are higher.
