Zelda: Majora's Mask
Being introduced to the faries, having SKull Kid steel Epona, the run through the forest, the tree stump hopping and then getting turned into a Deku Scrub. Instant greatness, bar none.
IMO best Zelda ever

i quite liek the opening to Call of Duty 2

Also why dont we widen this debate a little more to cutscenes in general?

Cos then it'd be the command and conquer series hands down

P.S - Excluding Renegade of course

I loved the Final Fantasy VI intro on the Anthology disc. Also really enjoyed the FF VIII intro....but, I have to agree that Ninja Gaiden 2 had the best opening that I have ever seen.

Kabuki Quantum Fighter for the NES
Fortress for the GBA
Metroid Hunters for DS
Shadowrun for the SNES

Can't think of any for the 64, Gamecube, Sega, PSX. :(

Peasent quest had an awesome intro, both the live action and the video game intro...

half life and halflife 2 have awesome openings, F.E.A.Rs is pretty cool too.

Honestly, though the graphics were nice, I didn't like the opening to Oblivion.
I once wrote:My head may be in the clouds, but the view up here is breathtaking.
