Wii on HD-Ready LCD monitor?

Post by Mikeyman64 »

Can I set my Wii up in HD by getting a Wii HD component cable and an HDMI to DVI cable and plug that into my extra DVI socket on my monitor? I just realized that an 19" widescreen HDTV cost almost 2.5 times more than my HD ready 19" monitor, so why buy a new TV?

Yeah, difference is the tv tuner card. Since most people on the planet have cable or satellite television that require a box, a tv tuner isn't needed.

As for what you said about converters and whatnot, it should work. I don't see why not.

You can't. The Wii only supports up to 480p.
