Microsoft Zune! Now With Pr0n!

Post by Busterblade » Thu Dec 21, 2006 7:33 pm

Hahaha Walmart is stupid. They sold a "new" Zune to a family with a homemade gay pr0n vid on it. So there is no way out for Walmart. If it was "new" then why did they put pr0n on it? If it wasn't new (which it wasn't) then why didn't they check before selling crap to a 12yr old? And then they blamed it on Microsoft. Yeah, I can definitely see Microsoft putting that on their product. Good one Walmart.

I'm also interested to see what people here think of the Zune, and how many have one? Anyone getting one for Christmas? IMO it's definitely better than the iPod, but I'm getting a PSP in four days (my family opens Christmas presents on Christmas Eve) and for me, that is the ultimate handheld multimedia device, especially for gamers, since it's the only one with "real" games. But I'd get a Zune over an iPod any day.

EDIT: Lol, forgot the links: http://www.engadget.com/2006/12/20/walm ... more-porn/

I think the girl put it on her Zune and then got caught and said it was on there when she got it.

I see a flaw in you thinking.
PSP is the best handheld multimedia device, but DS has the best games, IMHO. I got a PSP because it was a good deal, and I don't have much time or money for games (N64 emulator with SM64 8) ).

Yeah vskid, the DS does have the most good games. The PSP has potential for higher quality graphics and more detail, but I can't think of a game that has really pushed the hardware yet. So really the developers aren't doing the system justice. But Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is going to be AWESOME. Once it's finally released. The DS has NO multimedia features out of the box though, and who cares about the obscure Nintendo Play-Yan and Opera web browser. You can watch movies and browse the web on a larger screen with a PSP. Although the touchscreen could be nice with Opera. I'm getting both because I'm not a fanboy. Did you know that you can buy a "DS touch dictionary"? You draw a character (Chinese/Japanese/etc) and it tells you the meaning. That is going to help a lot in Chinese class. I guess that is a unique, but obscure, multimedia feature. Useful for language students like me who are studying a character-based language.

Well technicality that is news, again this forum is PG. Lets not have anymore threads like this.

And also I'm surprised that the Walmart manager tried to play it off as if it were Microsoft's fault.

Over in Egypt, I paid like 40 pounds (like $5USD, but a fortune in Egypt) for a clone MegaDrive that was supossed to have something like a couple hundred games on-ROM. I take it out of the box, I get the one w/ only 20 games, many of which where clones of the other games.

Well I tried one last night at my local best buy. It looked cool with the nice screen and all. But the control is wierd. Plus one of the displays were broken. It just kept saying it was charging. The employee told me that it's have to been replaced 3 times. So I'm skeptical.

I think that's the only way they can get anyone to buy a Zune. :P

I bought a DVD box set of "Taxi" at Borders a while back, and one of the discs was missing. It was still factory shrink-wrapped, had absolutely no signs of tampering, and wasn't broken. The disc was just gone! It pulled a Houdini! (Brought it back and bought a copy at F.Y.E for less than half the price. 8))

Are you freakin serious? The iPod is by no means perfect, but it's a lot better than the Zune. Why do you like the Zune more, I'm genuinely curious as to why you would!

The iPod is just an MP3 player stripped of the ability to use it as a thumbdrive, & plus it costs more for nothing.

I'd rather have an MP3 player over an iPod any day!

Yea, but you can't play Gameboy Color games on just any mp3 player. It's gotta be an iPod  iPL ftw :P

Fanboy alert. The iPod isn't perfect and the first run of the iPod Nano's are an example of that. Many people complained of cracked screens, something that had to be worked on and fixed.

The Zune's issues lays with the fact the software is by Microsoft and they still firmly believe that DRM is the greatest thing under the sun. Hell you put ripped music on it and the Zune adds DRM to it. Making the whole system flawed for a consumer's view, you have no control over the content on your Zune. Other then that the Zune is a very good player.
