Final Fantasy TWELVE!!!

Seriously, Sony is really trying to dig themselves a pit out of their stupidity and inability of knowing when to stop. Sure, Some of them were good. The first couple from Nintendo, and FF7. But really, TWELVE of the exact same game? Honestly. Discuss.
Hey, sup?

PLAYER HATER!!!!

But seriously, I never really got into FF. NOT because I don't like the series, but because I never had the time...

Same game? How, There are always improvements from game to game. Oh by the way over 30 games carry the final Fantasy title.

I have played 12 its excellent. The beginning cut scean reminds me the beginning to Star Wars Episode 3

Just because Mario is more recognized than Mickey Mouse doesn't mean he's oversaturated. Mario covers a crapload of venues in gaming. He's got the sports games, the kart racing games, and other odds-n-ends like DDR Mario. Technically, there hasn't been a new MAINSTREAM Mario game in ten years, while Final Fantasy has few branches away from the main franchice and basically rereleases the same thing with upgrades annually. The only Mario-related thing that's been reheated to hell is that damn Mario Party.

I'm not sure why, but people don't regard that one as mainstreamy. Maybe because it's kinda outside the mario universe or something...
It's just considered something made to tide us over until the enigmatic "Mario 128" happened, which was never.

Still can't help but wonder how many kids begging for FFXII for xmas will be getting FFX2 :P
Also, it's an rpg series, not the same game. Each has it's own story, elements, gameplay, etc.

it is a totally different game each time. look at ffvi to vii or ffx to ffxii. They are all totally different. I think this is the best video game serries and is much better then zelda or mario.

To you. Some people like zelda more, some people like mario more.

Final Fantasy is unique each time, each person has the favorites, but its not 15+ games with slight changes. Each is its own and should not be judged by the previous games.

The Final Fantasy games are great, they have a fully developed story line, cast of characters and each game shows improvement over the other.

each game has different characters worlds and battle systems. zelda has same characters same hyrule and same story plot. yes the zeldas are different each time but the people above said there are to many final fnatasys because this is the 12th one. well i think there are too many zeldas since they have the same everything and only have slight changes. the final fantasy games have huge changes. you might hate one but love the other. this could be the same thing with the zeldas and marios too. i am not saying that zelda is a game game casue i like the orcania of time and majoras mask. though i disliked the 2d zeldas.

People still buy Mario Party games by the truckload. What are they up to now? Mario Party 32?
