I almost died today

Post by gamer2 » Wed Nov 15, 2006 7:29 pm

Today when i was leaving school and going down Montgomery RD. Suddenly my front passenger side tire blows out, and I change it and head on my way. I get home and tell mom what happened, she sent me to go get tires for the Oldsmoble, and to get a new
spare.

The People at wal-mart asked me if I had any enemies because they
found a bullet in my tire. I figure it must have been a hunter because all
day at school we heard gun shots all day.

considering they actually found it in the tire unless it went through the glass you wouldnt have been hurt seeing as it didnt have enough energy to exit the rubber.

strange happenings anyway.

my car has been hit by bbs and pellets before but nothing like this lol.

That's not as bad as what happened to me on the golf course this summer. Me, my dad, and some of his friends were golfing at a private club called Treetops, which is a pretty nice place. However, on the tee box of the 6th hole, I heard a shot ring out. My uncle immediately identified it as a 22-cal rifle, and told us all to duck. I heard a loud noise directly behind me, and saw that the bullet had been lodged in a tree no more than 10 feet from my backside.

So in essence, I know how you feel. It's a damn scary experience, and it makes you wish that hunters/people with guns were more careful, and overall, more educated. Just be thankful it wasn't a cartridge of shot from a 12-gauge! That would've been hell!

Atomic, if the bullet entered the tire and then hit the rim, then it would stay in the tire. Remember, the side and rear windows of a car are just tempered glass, and therefor would have given easily to a bullet, even if it was a low power gun.
