yeah it would be like a giant gamegear you know... and yeah its been hard to get the thing packed in the case i got. (not as showen at all)
And maby it wont be so hard with a vacum formed one where i know exactly where all the parts are going.

Might I suggest that you have the disc pushed out from the rest of the unit. It would aloue you to pull everything else closer and tighter together. Similar to the why the disc looked on Ben's PSp.
Just a suggestion.

well when i did the mock up on an old tupper ware case i had no problem puting a lid over the cd in the back simply because the things so wide..
also i dont want to relocate the boards if i dont have to so the main board and the GD drive will be using the same orentation in the normal case so i dont have to screw around much.
and ive changed the screen to a 7" ps2 screen. but i'm looking for a better controler with a normal joystick i can relocate... any ideas?

Mix n match my friend, mix n match. Use the DC joystick, the pad from your favorite system with one (NES, SNES, PSX) and your favorite buttons from another (SNES) For triggers, use the originals for gauranteed compatibility.

i would but the only problem i'm having is with the dc stick i cant remove or relocate it... but i may just put the dpad and stick on the stock board and move the trgers and buttons over to where i need them

Well the analoge stick isnt going to be easy if you can move it, the DC uses magnetic sensors to know where the controll is being pointed. If you cant use the official Sega constoller try looking for a 3rd party one.

Last thing you can try is another member spoke of canablising one systems controller in a project. Its ify but I'd only consider it as a last opion.

well i think i'm going to leave the dc stick on the board and move the buttons.... does any one know a good spot for the vmu?

if your looking for a screen, don't use a console screen or a mini tv for $150-$200 when you can just rip up a gameboy advance sp for $100 and get its screen. sure its lo-res, but if you have my budget ($0), you arent going to pay more for no reason.

But you can't. The GBA screen is digital and compatible wit nothing but GBAs.

Edit: referring to GBA scrteen usage, though that's kinda obvious, I guess

get the gba tunner then, or i might save money and buy a gamrgear tunner, and have a compleate gamegear i can remove and use normaly but thats a lot a of battries
