Wii Preorders at Toys "R" Us- TOMORROW!

Post by Super Cameraman » Sat Oct 28, 2006 6:41 pm

That's right! Toys "R" Us is taking preorders for Wii tomorrow! There are already lines in NYC, and I heard that a manager of Toys "R" Us said that if you see a line, you're not getting one, because they don't have a lot. Also, apparently, that creepy new Tickle Me Elmo is coming out tomorrow, so I have a feeling the line may be a little longer than I expected.

Discuss!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't think be in the next-gen forum with the other Wii related topics?

Indeed.

I can't say I'm overly excited, but the local Toys R Us will probably see more traffic than when they released the new Tickle Me Elmo doll! (Man that place is pitiful; the old, classic-style Curcuit City is now a Dollar Tree, and what used to be Kids R Us is now Office Depot. Toys R Us itself is terrible; there's almost no merchandice but it's spread out to make it LOOK like there's a lot. *sigh* another childhood memory down the tubes... :()

Huzzah! I'm getting there at 1-2AM tonight! (proof that I will wait 10 hours to get a Wii)

Heh, this is nice...this should lessen the rest of the people camping out on launch day :P...
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Thanks for moving the thread!

Well it seems that the PS3 is avalible for preorder today, too! And Triton, where did you hear that!? I heard that they were not going to have near the same amount and GameStop... Or maybe that was just for PS3's... Anyway, I hope you're right. I'm going there in about a half hour. I hope it isn't too late.

Hey dudes, I'm at Toys r' Us right now! Been here for an hour, got 3 more to go...

There's 7 PS3s, 20 Wiis and 50 elmos for pre-order. Only about 35 people are here, I'm #25! We'll see how it goes.

If I remember correctly Kid R' Us was the lamest clothes store I was ever in, ever. I peffered to buy my clothes at Caldors wich ironically is also out of buiness and was bought out by Kohls which isn't half bad.

:( I didn't get one... There were only 15 Wiis and 6 PS3s... I could've got an Elmo, but I didn't. I really regret that.

My Toys'R'Us had 10 Wii's & 8 PS3's (7 core & 1 premium). I got there at 1:30AM, waited as #11 in line till 8:30AM, only to see the manager allow people to get BOTH pre-orders if they wanted to! Thanks to this, I got no Wii!!!!

I guess I'll have to camp out again/go to a midnight madness sale...

Man, I'm mentally challenged like hell. There's a store up in Great Neck, and everyone there is old. There were no people and the R Us had lots of preorders. I look in my wallet (just as Ben did in his Atari-PS combo thingamajig), and I'm broke. I should have begged my mom... Note to all members, go to the places where you would least expect it, I recommend Mom & Pop stores.
