CTFan's GCp Retro now complete!

Well, it's done, and just hours before I depart for Canada to see PLAY! The Video Game Symphony! So excited! I better catch some Z's though, so here's the pics:

It was a bit rushed, and I'm also not huge on the fact that my friend wouldn't let me open the GC casing to do a full portable, but that's okay, it's his present after all. :D

A special thanks goes out to gannon for some late-night AIM tips, Turbo Tax 1.0 for doing the majority of the controller wiring, Bic for the regulator layout, and Skyone for some questions answered.

Very nice, I can't imagine how much better it would be if you could take apart the gamecube. How much battery life does it get (or how much have you calculated)?

Wow. That's... rather bulky. Too bad your friend doesn't want you to take the Gamecube apart. Oh well, at least you're not the one who is going to play it all the time!

If you were trying to keep the retroness, bad move to use spraypaint, IMO. But still, nice job.

Thanks for the comments! It gets about 3 hours of playtime, which isn't too bad. The other problem is that I didn't have time to thoroughly sand down the bondo around the controllers, as you can plainly see, but hey, my friend and his brother have no complaints and they play it nonstop, so I guess it's not a problem! I may try my hand at another GCp one of these days, one without such huge design flaws. Although I have no GC of my own, and have never really seen a reason to make me want to own one, so we'll see.

Looks bulky... But I stil like it. It would definatley cut down on the bulkiness if the GC could be taken apart, but oh well. Still good! :D
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...

Not to mention Tales of Symphonia and Paper Mario.

But PS2 has more in the way of RPG's. *cough*Square-Enix*cough*

Well, I have Symphonia for PS2 (gotta love Japanese imports) and I've played the original Paper Mario....it was okay. Although I've heard that the Baten Kaitos games are amazing, although I don't wanna shell out the cash for a Gamecube just to play those games; I'll probably pick up a copy of the original when I ge a Wii to play it on! :P
