I just got a new mp3 player, a Sandisk sansa m240 (1 GB).
I already asked on F42 about podcasts, but now I have some more questions.
1) It doesnt have a freakin' SD slot! anyway I can add one?
2) according to a friend, It is possible I can add another gig. Is this true, I dont think he knows what hes talking about, making sure.
I will probably think of more later.
Thanks
Got a new Mp3 player, ssome questions about modding it.

1. No. Most of the other bigger Sansa models come equipped with one.ganonbanned wrote:1) It doesnt have a freakin' SD slot! anyway I can add one?

It means the pad spacing on the chip is really small and you wouldn't be able to soldering it on without completely copulate up the whole thing.ganonbanned wrote:WTF is that supposed to mean?vb_master wrote:Oh yeah it's possible, buy you would never be able to do it.ganonbanned wrote:2) according to a friend, It is possible I can add another gig. Well, when you have a surface mount flash chip on a board, and its pins are less than a millimeter apart... There's no way you can do that with a Radio Shack iron. You need fancy equipment to do surface mount stuff like that properly. (The thinnest tip I have for my Weller looks like an inflating needle for sports equipment, and it's still too big.)ganonbanned wrote:WTF is that supposed to mean?vb_master wrote:Oh yeah it's possible, buy you would never be able to do it.ganonbanned wrote:2) according to a friend, It is possible I can add another gig. Surface mount chips like that are extremely hard to do properly. It's easier to cleanly solder jewelry.

Actually you could build an hot air soldering iron with a desoldering iron, some desoldering braid, and a fish pump.bicostp wrote:Well, when you have a surface mount flash chip on a board, and its pins are less than a millimeter apart...
