iPod nano second generation question (ok, iTunes questions)

Post by *o* » Sun Oct 01, 2006 2:26 am

Can i switch my iPod nano second generation from auto-sync to manual music transfer without iTunes deleting all my music?

If this is not possible does anyone have any reccomendations for a third party program that would replace iTunes (that is not crap)?

I think Winamp can handle iTune files. (I could be wrong though)

Be sure your iPod is connected to your computer. Open iTunes, and go to Preferences (it's under Edit). Go to the iPod tab, and select Manually update songs and playlists. Well you're at it you can also set iTunes to where it wont start up when you connect your iPod.

Well then just get your library working again. I'd love to tell you that you can adjust the settings to make the iPod not auto-sync without connecting it, but when I was looking in iTunes it didn't have any iPod options.

This is kinda like his question but...how can i see what songs i have on my nano/video iPod like in the old iTunes 6 (I have 7 now) Like it just shows me a picture of my iPod and basic data (Space left, etc.)

How can i copy songs to it and see whats on it (not just space and that stuff)
