When you sleep, your brain weakens the new links it has formed that day. If it didn't, your brain would take more energy to power than the rest of your body in two days. By weakening those links, it weakens your memories--slightly. But this only happens in deep sleep, not REM, where you have dreams.Kurt_ wrote:No, I mean the chemicals that control your emotions and such. Not quite sure where it is, but iot's somewhere in the middle of your brain. The something or others and such! You know!?
I'm lacking names right now, but your brain needs to rebuild some chemicals and such.
At least I think that's what happens…
I heard about it a year ago (or so), so I don't remember it entirely.

I have done that, too. It really bothers me when I find out I don't really have it.vb_master wrote:One time I dreamed I got something I wanted and I woke up and was like WTF where is my thing. That has actually happened to me several times.

Offtopic: I'm back, 500 watt modular PSU powered PC, up from 450.
Ontopic: Yeah, I have Lucid Dreams sometimes, I tried getting into a habit like checking my watch, but I don't wear a watch . Also, some of the stuff on that site is wrongly talking about Lucid Dreaming when they are speaking of things commonly associated with Astral Projection, which is in effect an extension of Lucid Dreaming, I guess (since for all anyone knows, an Astral Projection is just a Lucid Dream). Astral Projection and the like are "New-Age" and Psuedoscience, Lucid Dreaming isn't, although a lot of people start there, I guess. Yeah, I guess you could call me the type of person interested in that stuff, but I like to learn the point-counterpoint things, like with conspiracies. Enlarge your fields of knowledge and such. Lucid Dreaming doesn't affect sleep, as it's basically no different (brain-activity-wise) from regular dreaming.
Personally, I can go to sleep and know I'm sleeping a little bit, up to the stage where you lose balance and it's like you're dizzy. Else, I've gotten nowhere into always Lucid Dreaming.

Its really quite odd when sounds from outside come inot dreams
once i was dreaming, i was talking to one of my friends and then suddendly all sounds from the dream stopped and all i could hear was this beeping and my friends was talking away moving his mouth and all i could hear was beeping, then i realised that it was my alarm clock tone and i tought, "wait, alarm? alarm!" and sat bolt upright

Well you could just try what I posted earlier in this thread.Thornwillow wrote:I just pictured a TV with a remote in a white room, and i was planning on jumping into that TV, lol, in my dream, but i fell asleep to the picture, but i didnt have a dream of it Anyone else know anyother ways to do it?
P.S. Wow! Typing feels so weird now. I just finished an essay that I typed up on a typewriter and now the sudden switch to keyboard... yeesh.

I have two, and they're "portable" typewriters. They're built into wide suitcases, like those "luggable" computers. I'm going to aquire more and then me and a group of friends are going to take them all (hopefully I can get at least six) into an internet cafe and type up a storm.
EDIT: Take a look-see:

OOF! Twenty pounds per hand!
On the left is a Smith-Corona and on the right is a Remmington model.
(And my fly is not undone, that's just the lighting!)

The little paper reads "Congratulations! You now own the world's finest portable typewriter!"
