Titles Program, Phase One: "Portablizers"

Post by Lucretius » Mon Sep 18, 2006 2:11 am

Alright, here's the scoop: We really want to give you guys titles based on your achievments and merits and whatnot. But that turned out to be harder than planned, so we're gonna break things up into phases. Phases one is assign the "Portablizer" titles to those who made portables. So here's what you need to do to get one:

POST IN THIS THREAD WITH YOUR NAME, PORTABLE NAME, AND A LINK TO THE THREAD WHERE YOU ANNOUNCED IT'S COMPLETION WITH PICTURES. ANY OTHER POSTS WILL BE CONSIDERED SPAM.

If you portable is really nice or you've mae a bunch, we might grant you a "Portablizer Extraordinaire" title or something along those lines.

PS: if you're wondering what the titles we're hoping to dish out were, here ya go:
Ranks: title

Good: "Portablizer" "Techie" "Helpful Member"
Bad: "Spammer" "Flammer"
2-day Temp Ban: "In Time Out"
1-week: "Grounded"
Perm: "Exiled"
Super Good: "Portablizer Extraordinaire" "Senior Member" "Legendary Member" "Moderator" "Admin"

i'm daguuy, you probably knew that already. my portable is an un-named portable N64, formerly called gameboy64

what do you mean by really nice portables, is it just the case or does it also include features and stuff?

Note from Luc: Like Ben's, Marsh's or Gamey's. Nice ones. They looks nice, they were well built. It's only subjective to a point, then it's common sense.

Hi, I'm Demonofaj, an average portabalizer, who made a couple of great/average portables.

PSONE Negative Revision 1 portable

NESp Revision 1

Genesis Prodigy

That's it..for now.

I'm Harshboy as you know, and i made that awsome ghetto Duct-taped GCp. Currently under reconstruction, but it did work before i ripped it open.

Here it is: Finished Pictures are on Page 6

I'm also working on a PSTwoP at the moment

CronoTriggerfan (me) has made the following:

SNESp RED:
http://benheck.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=10241

SNESp MKII:
http://benheck.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=11737&start=15

NOACp:
http://benheck.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=12542

NESp:
http://benheck.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php? ... 91b4973e83

PSp:
http://benheck.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=14243

GCp Retro:
http://benheck.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php? ... 2687936b88

I must say, this new system is shaping up to be pretty cool! It's much more unique than most of the other forums I'm a member at. Good job, Luc/other mods/admins!

I have a question. If we make new portables, (such as the GCp I'm doing,) do we edit our posts accordingly and have our titles changed, do we make a new post, PM the Admins, or what?

Note from Luc: All titles are subject to change both for the positive and negative.

I built a PSOneP for which the thread is here. Unfortunately, the site I had my article on explaining it, and with pictures, etc. is gone. I'm talking to the guy who originally hosted the site to see if he can drudge up the images at least. Basically, the images showed the completed system in a temporary cardboard case. It was fully functional, though. Since then it had many different incarnations which I never took pictures of. Currently it is "out of service," because I took the screen from it to use for my PS2p. Which is done, but needs a new ribbon cable that these twits have yet to send me.

I also bought vgcollector666's NESp which was "complete" minus a case. It took a bit of a beating while being shipped here, and I ended up having to just rebuild it completely. It's finished, just don't have any pics of it. I need to get a digital camera some day.

Once I can actually say that my PS2p is actually working and fully functional, I will hopefully be able to borrow a camera from some one. Or buy a disposable one. Though, like I said, it all depends on them sending my replacement part.

Edit: By the way, before you give some one like Turbo the title, you should know the actual spelling is "Extraordinaire."

Note From Luc: I'll make the change!

Just a quick note, you can only get this title through this thread, for now.
