I found this thing called FWNitro. Anyone ever used this? I think it might be of use for my next FW.

Also, someone metioned something to me about OS ing my ds. I didn't learn that, can anyone brief me on that?

EDIT: My cart slot is ed up. Anyone know if I can take one from one of those action replay max duos and put it in instead? Would it fit?

Yes, FWNitro, it's a completely homebrew solution. I havn't tried the latest version, but it sounds nice, as it has a built in WFC manager, Mario Kart DS track hacks and lots of other stuff like the boot DS code off of GBA slot (FlashMe).
I was about to flash my Phat DS with it, but then the ribbon cable to the top screen broke and it was rendered useless.

My last issue (before flashing) is brightness. Anything on that?

Doesn't say it missing that feature though on the webpage. I suggest you use the .NDS (non-flashing) one to try it out.

The DS screens are higher resolution than a GBA screen. You can notice that when playing a GBA game on a DS, there is a bit of a black border. That's the extra resolution.project_failure wrote:Not to sound stupid (too late) but, what are the differences?
