Heh, I've made my own versions of some of these carts. Its pretty easy, actually, to do a single game conversion/reproduction. Although, if you use a released game rom (like, um, say something you could be resonably expected to buy for your NES) it's considered illegal, though I don't think anyone cares. Take a look at the NESDEV forums for info on how to build your own!

I currently have built a Lost Levels cart and I built a reproduction test cartridge like you see selling on ebay for ungodly amounts of money. I also built carts with hacked up version of Super Mario Bros (Mikamari and All Night Nippon) for a friend of mine, and since I charged commission I got a little ka-ching to go with it!
Emulation isn't accurate. There is no substitute for real hardware!

You need an EPROM burner correct?

That is quite neat, actually, that someone is providing this service to people who can't. I e-mailed him asking if he could do SNES. Theres a plethera of SNES RPGs out there that never made it stateside, and it'd be nice to see them done justice.

You do need an EEPROM burner, and chips of the 27Cxxx type that match up to the PRG and CHR ROM sizes. Also, the cart has to have the correct mapper chip, and be set to the correct type of scrolling, which is determined by a blob of solder on the cart coard.

I looked into it a couple years back and even bought an EEPROM burner, hoping to transfer some homebrew projects, like a DDR/Power Pad-based game that was in the works back then.

And thanks to that list, I now know what games will work with Mother 1. Sweet! All I need to do now is learn how to program flash memory and build a programmer.

I'd love to be able to play the english translation of Clock Tower on an actual SNES.
