i have a broken sega genesis (model 2) a somewhat working model 2, and 4 nonworking controllers. how can i thougholy (sp?) clean/fix this stuff? also, i bought about 25 "unworking" NES games off some guy for a few dollars, only to discover that excite bike and legend of zelda were the only nonworking ones (2 of my favorite )someone told me there is a way you can actually "fix" the cartridges. is this possible to?

For the snes carts, clean the connector, and if necessary, replace it. (I think)

Yeah. And you know what's funny? On the back of each cart, it says "DO NOT CLEAN WITH ALCOHOL", but most, if not all, cleaning kits for the NES are just rubbing alcohol. Looks like Nintendo was trying to get you to buy the kits instead of DIY!Klefmung wrote:No, just clean the contacts.

But yeah, try that. You will probably get all this black crud on the cue tip, but that's a good sign, because that means it's getting cleaned.
