SNESp FINISHED (Well, basically)

Post by Insert_Name_Here »

Yea thats right, one year later I finally finished my SNESp! I used a tackle box for my case because of it's simplicity and cost. There are still a few minor things to do like a battery holder, brightness/volume buttons, and the left shoulder button. Maybe I will paint it, I dunno.

Sorry, big picture sizes....

Not bad not bad! I've never liked tackle box portables, but this isn't too bad.

Nice, i used a tackle box for mine and using another tackle box for my next one. Never though of putin the controller board under the plastic like that. I placed the controller on top of mine and had the board pushed to the plastic with some plastic so it would stay put. Painting that would make it look nicer. Great job on finaly finsihing it up!! :)

Hmm, seems something weird is going on, when I press more than 2 buttons at a time the screen flickers and sometimes it even blacks out, then comes back as soon as I release the button. Anybody know whats going on?

Why do you call it a tackle box? That looks nothing like tackle boxes I have. It looks more like Tupper Ware.

You find it in the sports section of walmart and it has dividers...so technically its a tackle box.

If it's shorting out from two (or more) buttons, check the battery power, and also, make sure you don't have any crossed wires. Try all button combinations too to see when it does is, also, make sure your board doesn't have any solderballs hiding on ya.

Lately it hasn't been blacking out, I think its because when I press buttons I squeeze a little bit and thats causing a short. I opened it up and then closed it again and now it just flickers slightly (no big deal).

I'm going to paint it black so I'll be updating the pics soon.

You should try to take care of it soon though, because you run the risk of shorting out everything sooner than you'd expect. Just something to consider especially since I know how much of a pain it is to do this stuff.
