D sized batteries.

Post by ransoman » Wed Aug 09, 2006 8:29 am

Was just researching batteries on wikipedia. Do "D" sized batteries really have a capacity of 19500 MaH (19.6aH). Thats massive.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_battery_sizes#AA

Are the capacities listed here accurate?

Yes, but

1. They're big
2. 1V
3. They're (probably) expensive

1.2v for NiMH. they have really high capacity but take a ton of space. i used Cs because they're a good balance of bulk and capacity
