3v Lithium Cell is causing problems- Need Solution!

Post by eastsider_1 » Fri Jul 28, 2006 4:59 pm

My 3v lithium cell is causing a set of problems. One is that the clock adjustment can't be changed and it STAYS on 01/01/2000 for the date and 12:00:00 A.M as the time. Also, when I play DVD's the parental password appears and I should be able to type in "7444" to set a new one, but it says it's invalid. Has anyone had this problem before?? What do i do?? Thanks

I took my old ps2 apart the other day and removed the battery. I have the same clock ajusment problem as you have. And for dvd protection, try 0123, it worked for two ps2s that I never set a password on.

Well, I highly doubt that 0123 will work because those systems that you did it on was probably the previous owner's passcode, but will give it a try. As for looking in the manual, it's "7444" that should reset the passcode, but says it's invalid. Iguess if you get a ps2, DONT remove the lithium cell!!! Unless you deactivate the parental settings first!! :?
