install the latest drivers man.

my laptop has an ati card but i need to get my drivers from ibm (who made my laptop). you might need to do something similar.

Sometimes they get corrupted while being used, and rolling back a driver has the same effect that restoring windows has on the system in general. A backup of the driver is made when the device is functioning perfectly, so then later you can restore those settings if it gets all screwed up.
