You're right on the money!
According to
Moore's law, "the transistor density of semiconductor chips would double roughly every 18 months." So, that means if 1 gig of flash memory costs $100 now, 128 megs cost $12.50 now.(that makes flash around 0.01 per MB)
Based on this statment, you will see someone build a ps2 laptop with 128 gig Compact Flash drive and OLED display in less than 10 years!

It seems one part you can always salvage from a screwed up computer is the floppy drive.
Just for the heck of it i'm considering making a tower that only has floppy drives.

It is not junk! It is assorted goods with no current use.

floppys never EVER work fine. plus i rip them out of any computer i work on no body wants to keep them. so its just that computer companys are still backwards and stupid (why are we still clinging to HDDs? they should have been all solid about 6 years ago) seeits cheaper to add to whats alreddy out there than periodicly starting from scrach.

Are you talking about on just one floppy? I wouldn't fit. Maybe if you split it, but you'd need several.

The one on my portable hd is 80mb, but thats with tons of extensions. I just installed it again and it is 16mb, and I haven't even used it. You must be thinking of just the icon.

I think they all do, as long as they are compatible with that version of firefox. If the extension has something installed on your computer (only a few do, none of mine have to), it won't work on others unless you install that.

I came up with a better use for floppys: Putting
Blueflops Linux on them!
