wat about all those nice emulators that nintendo is including?
Whay about just having a method to transport ROMs?
How are they even hoping to gain a profit from older ROMs? when there are so many free download sites?
Are the emulators gonna not support anything but NINTENDO supported?
How would that be programmed?
My Head hurts...

well until someone with a reputable company gets their hands on a wii...
Everything said about it will be a rumor
However, I feel that there will be a way for people like us to import their own ROMs and such to the wii
But until its release, we will never know

As far as I know no one has cracked the itunes DRM yet (unless you count the burn an audio CD then import it to itunes method) and I suspect the classic games will have some sort of copy protection deeply imbedded in them. Hopefully they won't be as shortsighted as some other company that said their console would be "hacker-proof".

MacAddict did. It only works on a Mac .psychotic_mechanic wrote:As far as I know no one has cracked the itunes DRM yet (unless you count the burn an audio CD then import it to itunes method)
Open iMovie and drag a single picture and a protected AAC song in. Export it as an AIFF file and import into iTunes. Less waste than burning a CD too…
It's because (this may surprise many) Apple's DRM is fairly lenient compared to competing forms. They allow you to use it in iMovie, for iPhoto slideshows, and in iDVD for menu music. There are no limits on it in these apps either; the music is treated exactly the same way as an unencrypted file would be.
NOTE: THIS PROCESS IS ONLY FOR LEGAL USE, SUCH AS PUTTING IT ON ANOTHER MP3 PLAYER YOU OWN. DO NOT STEAL MUSIC.
