I know that Gamepro or some magazine like EGM did an article on it where they got a free Xbox. But you need a credit card and also a lot of tolerance.

Why is it a pain?
because if you don't cancel the offers the company makes you sign up for, you stay on them. Not all of the offers are free, and those that are free, are often only free for the afternoon and have a lengthy cancellation process. a lot of those companies make you force your (former) friends to sign up for the offers. in short, you spend more time doing it, worrying about it, and trying to cancel it, than your equivalent time is worth working at mcdonalds.

putting in more hours at your job is about the easiest way to get a psp.

edit: also of note is that if you're considering this, you're probably well under 18 and unable to participate as you're not allowed to enter into contracts.
