Getting a 360

Post by Shadeslayer » Sun Jun 04, 2006 8:14 pm

OK so I finaly talked my mom into letting me sell some stuff and buying an Xbox 360. Where is the best place to get good prices? Here is a list of things I am selling:

Nintendo DS
Brain age
Shrek super slam
Mario kart
Mario and luigi: Partners in time
Fantastic 4 (for gameboy advanced)
Xbox
Sonic Heroes
Namco Museum
Lord of the Rings the third age
Star wars Knights of the old republic
X-men legends II
Spiderman 2
A bike (haro) but we have a bike shop really close

How much do you think I could get for the whole kit and where would be the best place? We have a game crazy, a game exchange, and EBgames. Everything is in great condition and I was hoping to get enough for a 360.

With everything besides the bike, you'd probably get around $100 or less, most of it coming from the xbox and DS. I like gamecrazy but EBgames would probably give you a better deal on trade-in's. I say keep the consoles, but sell the games, and start selling other stuff to get money for your 360.

Ha thats funny. Use ebay. Its the best place because you can charge for shipping to, and i could have gotten hardley any $ for mario kart if i had of sold it there. I ended up selling it on ebay for 28.50!

Or maybe you could keep a lot of the stuff you want to sell and just perhaps work for the money.

Game exchange gives you the most for trade-in but I doubt they'd have a 360 in, so you might want to try Game Crazy if they don't.

I'd just keep the Xbox and DS myself. 360 dosn't really haven any good games coming out for a while and they cost too much anyways.

No I want a 360 and game x change doesn't have them but they give cash. Game crazy has 360s and give credit so its all good.

No good games? :? Well I guess it depends on what sort of games you like. Personally I think it has loads of good games already like Oblivion, COD2, Project Gotham 3, and Table Tennis (don't laugh, it is a great game :P ). I can see your point on price, but at least it is gonna be cheaper than PS3. :)

Exec 2 "I see to remember having something like that when I was a kid what was it? Hmmmm...... Rhymes with "Gong", and I seem to remember it not needing any polygons..."

Just kiding, I just think something like "Super-ultrta-mega Pong 58" when ever I see a tennis VG :P LOL.

And as a side effect of the 360 I'm waiting for the regular XBOX used price to drop so I can have two and wire them up for multiplayer :D.

I used to think it was kind of a silly concept too when I first heard of it, but once you play it, it's really intense. Kinda hard to believe actually. I keep waiting for someone from GTA to shoot me.

The solution: don't get a 360... yet.
Wait fotr the other systems to come out and see what there is to offer. I'm not saying oyu should get a Wii like I should be saying, but just see what happens. A horrible analogy for what I'm trying to say may be:
Don't bet on the racer that started first; the other racer may be a rocket ship.

I don't know. I mean the DS is a better concept than the XBOX 360. You could buy a Dreamcast for 30 dollars or less, and it does all of the things except play DVDs, and I'm fairly sure you probably already have a machine designed to do so. So why buy a 360? It'll die in two and a half years, if that.

You'll get much more money for your stuff on ebay than you will trading it in at any store, just research how to list items and perhaps sell a few things at a time to build up some positive feedback before sellingthe big items.

You'll miss your DS and xbox once thy're gone, I wish I still had all the games and systems I had traded in for pocket change over the years. On the positive side though you'll have less stuff cluttering up your room/gaming area.

Not necessarliy his Xbox because he'd end up getting a newer better Xbox with many new features and a better look and he'd also be able to play the old games because its backward compatible.
