The Official "look what I got for Easter" thread.

Post by NES_fanatic » Sun Apr 16, 2006 3:26 pm

Okay, i said we shouldn't make threads like this, but I decided to make a universal one for all rather than try to convert an old thread (other Easter one). Let's all brag about what sewwt things we got this Easter day (or Passover, or whatever).
I'll open with a short story. Every year for Easter my folks place a basket full of candy and something special for me to discover upon waking up. Among the candy, the special item is usually something like a shirt that says something clever on it, a used Beatles record (I iz the c0ll3ct0r) or in best cases, a video game. This year I nearly crapped myself when I found Tony Hawk's American Sk8land in my basket! I've been searching for this game since February but to no avail as a stock search tells me there are more Xbox 360s in Washington than copies of this game. It was by an extreme stroke of luck that my parents found the game and even got it on sale! Well I'm all happy-scrappy and if anyone elso owns the game and wants to throwdown on the Nintendo WFC just PM me.

Boy, you're lucky... I get quite a bit of candy, but never anything else. Except for one year, where I got this whistling foam frisbee that no matter how you threw it, it tipped to the left... But I got some Take 5's in my Easter basket, so I'm happy. And I got a Kinder egg at church :D

A crap load full of chocolate eggs, and various other chocolates. And other food items too.

Oh, plus today I got a book off of my book shelf and found a working PlayStation controller board. :D

Frankly, I'd rather wear breadbags then pay over $100 for nonformal shoes.

a grand total of 2 pounds of chocolate and a bag of Jack Link's teriyaki beef jerky. (I asked for Slim Jims but the jerky less fat, barely half a gram per ounce, and it's damn tasty, too.)

We were never big Easter people. We'd get some chocolate and maybe a toy or something, but never anything huge. (except if you concider we would spend our Christmas money the following week...)

EDIT: @NES_fanatic: nice sig.

Sword Gun: Oh I see, that's a decent amount to pay for shoes with your sport and such.

Bicostp: Thanks, came to me when I saw the stuff about the confirmed Revolution shooter.
