Slider DS

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

Slider DS

Post by Motoman »

After a short thinking session, I was thinking of maybe trying to make a DS Slider. Its just that i have some questions.

#1: What type of mechanism would i need for the initial sliding thing? AKA what would i need to make it slide?

#2 How long is the cable connecting the LCD?

#3 Is it possible?

Heres a quick concept I made in paint:

Go there, it has the cables. I was possibly going to do something of that sort, than realised it's stupid.
Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.

I think by stupid he means pointless. It would look extremely cool, though. Like those phones on The Matrix 8)

I'd say this is possible, but you would need a long ribbon cable.

- unless you put the screen on backwards and have it rotate 180 to get to the normal position.

Making one would be hard, if not impossible. I would say make it Danger Sidekick-style. The top rotates 180 to show controls. That would be sweet!
