A blue ribion, a medal and $400

Post by MaDnEsS » Fri Mar 03, 2006 11:32 pm

well over the past two days was my science fair. Thusday was ribon judging for blue, red, yellow. today was judging for special awards. and believe it or not my N64p won a blue ribbon, $400($300 in savings bonds) and its taking me to the state science fair, and i also got a form telling me i am invited to attend a national science fair in D.C. for a schorlership of $50,000. When im at the state science fair i get to miss school and stay in a hotel for two nights while only paying $100 entry fee :D

Well, I'll see you in DC, I guess! My science fair project this year won regionals and I'm headed there, too! I took a bit of a different approach, though. My science fair project was all about the medium for which alchemy became chemistry. I developed a theorem based on scientific knowledge of subatomic particles at the time of the split, and formulated an experiment. This was then compared to Newton's "net" alloy in which he concluded that alchemy is rooted in Greek mythology, further supported by the alchemic equation/experiment I have developed. I was going to enter my portable, but unfortunately it wasn't done yet.

I'm suprised you didn't get arrested for bringing your portable to school! that thing's a freakin bomb!

My thoughts exactly

Awesome, nonetheless. My school doesn't have a science fair. They might as well have a quantum mechanics fair at a elementary school than hold a science fair at mine :(

I'm taking my NESp to PAX (the Penny Arcade Expo) and maybe selling it there at an absurdly high price. The hardcore geeks there'll pay out of the nose for this kinda stuff.

I got third in a science fair for my GCp...only won $75, but it was kind of cool :P. also, the army gave me a t-shirt.

I think it was the state competition....

nice to hear they pay so well at your science fair, madness :P.
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

I'll enter my psp next year. If only I found this site earlier, and finished the portable in time for the science fair, I bet your n64p would have had some competition. :)

That's what I was planning for my 10in1p and my upcoming SNESp. More of an expo with our homeschool group, meaning no money, but it would still be cool to display them.
BTW: Congrats on 1st!
