I have a few questions that Google has yielded giving me answers on.

A: What do I need.

I have:

A PS2 (old, blocky one)
B A DSL connection

Thats all.

B: How do you do it?

Well how do you set it up and stuff?

C: Does it cost money?

As in does Sony or Verizon charge you anything? Because, if so...I can't do it :-(

I think you need a network adapter. Other than that, im pretty sure you dont need anything else.
I'm the man, if you don't think so, you're wrong.

that would be FFXI and thats just about it for the money cost kind. yep ps2 online rocks. its free unlike a certain compeditor cough :cough...M$...cough cough:! hey while im at it lets throw some statistics out there just for the heck of it. there are more users playing socom3 online than there are registered users of all of xbox live. that means that one ps2 game has more users than all of the xbox live enabled games out there. :D

Where did you get those stats from? Whenever I play Halo 2 on Live there seems to be an unfathomable amount of people... I must admit SOCOM3 seems better to me than Halo 2, I enjoy the huge 32-player battles - awesome! But I'm not sure about those stats...

And demon you can get the network adapter used for $20 at Gamestop. Everything else after that is phree.

I have ps2 online all you need is the network adapter and an internet connecction. The only game that charges money is ffxi and I think one other game might cost money. I havent been on in a while but If you want to play when you get it I have tony hawks underground 1 and 2 I also have american wasteland and madden 04. If anyone wants to play online with me just pm me a time.

Elaborate please? Is it because it costs ~$5 a month?

I wonder if when you play FFXI on your 360 you have to pay $5 for live and then $10 more for FFXI. That would suck if it was that way.

well actually I got them from an issue of EGM quite a few months ago, so Im not sure that they are still accurate. I can't remember which issue it was or I would have put exact stats. oh and as for socom3, hooya!!! :D
