I do know everything just not all at once its a virtual memory problem.

If I understand...for the video mod the only parts you need...if it's the PS1 video screen is 3 led's and a 10ohm resistor
LED's is a digikey part#CMD204UWC-ND
10 ohm resistor Radio Shack #271-1101

I'm not sure what you mean by alternate route

Oh I got it....
you need a transistor 2n4401
2. 220ohm resistor's
1. 33ohm resistor's

I don't have a pic so I will try to explain...I hope it makes sence

On a little PC board(from bottom to top)(resistor'splaced left to right)
220ohm on bottom...leave a space, then a 33ohm...place your transistor on the right side of the resistor's(flat side up)tie the emitter to the 33ohm...the base or middle leg will go in from the NES...the last leg or the collector will tie in to the other 220ohm ohm resistor(it goes on top...sorry)
Now the left side between the 33ohm and 220ohm is video out.
the right side of the bottom 220ohm is ground
the top 220ohm...left side is 5v in

Boy I hope that makes sence and helps...sorry no pic

I forgot one thing

The video out will tie all together with the bottom 33ohm and 220ohm

You might try to draw it out.
