I wonder if he fell for the old loop back IP (127.0.0.1) I heard a story about this one guy that told this "Hacker" who had a program that could empty someones hard drive if they had the ip. So he said his IP was 127.0.0.1 and soon when he said the program started to delete his hard drive, he got disconnected. It was funny but I think it was fake.

Actually I think it was one of the members here. They had a spammer with 1337 4@[|<1nG 5|<1II5 (leet hacking skills) who kept bugging them. Well he was given his own IP address and according to the trans-script... deleted his hard drive content.

Really these hackers are just punks. I can't wait til there are hackers that go out just to mess with those kind of hackers. I've found that when people talk or flaunt their "mad skills" they generally only have one trick and that's it.

A similar thing happened to me although no "l33t h4xxor" threats

One of the more idiotic people in my school got hold of my msn, and this conversation followed.

How true. Usually it's not even skills. It's a program that somebody with skills made.

At my highschool, there aren't that many nerds (like the kind WE are) so pretty much anything I do that is even remotely out of the ordinary (apart from my out-of-the-ordinary personality) is considered ub3r 1337.

I wouldn't be surprised if that one guy just had a program made in VB or whatever that had an interface similar to this one:

(Sorry about it being done in paint, I think I got rid of VB to make room for World of Warcraft)

Like C'MON!!! What guy who can ACTUALLY hack uses his own static IP???
