Alright, we got a lot done today. In fact, we
finished. We finally got the sound problem fixed (thanks turbo, it actually worked), and we put everything together. They look quite ugly right now, mainly because there's exposed wires and everything's just glued in place. Regardless, they work great, and we're done. The only mechanical thing left for me to do is to rewire the L and R buttons; R doesn't even work because my friend lost the pad (and it's also smothered in electrical tape). L works, but its pretty much impossible to reach with your left index finger.
Anyways, here's some pics, and a bonus too:
Mine just got completed
Both if them, side by side
Short 15 second clip of EB, with sound :D
P.S. soldering iron burns suck :(

There's a bit more electrical tape on it than shown in the pictures, because the battery holder keeps falling off and I relocated the L button. Cost me a gameboy gameshark, I couldn't find any tact switches :\
The carts are also held in with plasticine because it freezes whenever I pick it up without it. And don't worry about the hideous brown paper on the front, that was just a temporary faceplate idea
