Moderator:Moderators
Whoot! My father knew somebody at the dutch microsoft. So that person had twentyfive invatations to msn 8.0 beta version. My father got one. Then my father had five so he gave me one. So know I have the beta version. It's really beatiffull (Or atleast I think so)
Edit: five was supposed to be twentyfive fixed but I fixed it already.

coincidentally, someone sent me the beta last night, along with the proxy so you dont need to be invited by microsoft.

some major differences:
- a whole new look
- when you hover over a name on your contact list, a little box expands around it, with options like "send an IM" "send an email" and such things
- contacts who are online are sorted to the top of the list, and their little icon appears solid. contacts with any other status are sorted to the bottom of the list, and their icon appears faded.
- you can send offline messages to people, they will receive them the next time they sign in
- you can send messages to people while you are appearing offline
- it is now an option to allow blocked file extensions
if people email me at bernast@<nospam>mcmaster.ca, then i guess ill send you a copy. its 12 megs, so be sure your inbox can handle it.
