Ben's car!

I'll keep tweaking it to get rid of the funny look around the front.

Coloring was a pain because all the models on ebay were blue.

looks good man, some of you skilled persons should help him out! texturing is time consuming and more people doing it would speed things along nicely

SWEET !!!!

The only question is....

will this game feature a soldering minigame?

complete with the abilities to burn one's fingers and fry board?

Ya, I was just thinking, if you shoot your soldering gun or glue gun too much, say 10 times in 5 seconds it overheats and you burn your hand.

If you want you can throw mine in. (1999 Saturn SL-1 4-door)

Here's a page that has a nearly identical vehicle on display. Clicking the thumbnails will give you larger versions of the images. There are some 3/4 andgle shots, and some head-on images of the front and back, which would be great for ripping the headlights and taillights from.

If you want to model a large shipping truck, you could copy my uncle's buisness's box van. Looks like this from the back, this from the front, but the van cab is cut off a few inches behind the driver's door to connect to the cube body. (should be simple to model a cube ) (it's based off an '86 Econoline 350) here's a good front-end shot of another one (a fire/rescue vehicle) that it would be easy to rip the headlights/grille out of.

Is it easy to do the texturing?

Thanks for the leads bicostp. That's exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm waiting for Ben to send updated mug shots (heh) and then I'll get to work animating Ben's run cycle.

Agreed. Also, I am thinking that maybe any photographs submitted for rendering should be sent in as a set for the front, side, and back. It has to be hard to render and texture anything correctly if you only have one angle...

Crap. Anim8tor crasher while modeling, and it wasnt saved. I did have a file saved as an .obj, but when I open it up in anim8tor, the model is one big part, not a bunch of squared and cylinders, and other shapes. Is there any way to get it back to the more friendly format?
