This would be good for a new computer, or a good start to a fresh windows install. :)

Is there anything Google wont get into? I mean at this rate Google will release their own version of Linux, you know the GoogleOS.

I would deinitely try a Google OS. They really do do good work. They have such a variety of useful applications now, it would be interesting to see how they integrate them all together. I would like to see some of Google's top web applications become stand-alone applications. That would allow them even more flexibility with the interface and I'm sure they would do something cool with it.

Google is so personable too. There's always some bit of humor in stuff they do. One doesn't see that in other big companies.

Once I get internet on my newly linux-ed compy, I'll see what I can do...
Edit: Check that. Uses windows... :?

Edit 2: http://pack.google.com/product_desktop.html

If they just expand that ^ you'd have a nice OS...

I found something cool. Hit the "Add or remove software" link under the download button and you can add a few more programs.

Wow, the sun never sets over the Google empire. But that's okay, because they seem pretty good to me, so as others have said, I wouldn't mind seeing an OS from them.

I could see a Google Linux distribution. ("GoogLin"?) Maybe based off of Slackware... You'd never lose a file again!

lol, good ol' ytmnd...

a google OS would be good because its another step away from microsoft's computer monoply, not that all microsoft stuff is bad, far from it, but the more choice, the more competion so in theory a better end product

Ok, a step away from mircosofts computer monopoly, and one step towards googles.

google are far from a monopoly, true they do have a vast variety of programs but they still need a bit more to challenge microsoft. personally i dont think either will win or lose but if they're both competeing hopefully it would push them to create better products to outdo each other, which is better for us.
