What about "Help!" by the Beatles? It's got a backwards message in it.
"Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" has a funny message in it.
The end of that "billy and mandy" show on cartoon network (kid sibling... ) has some gibberish at the end. I played it backwards and it says "No, no. This is the end of the show. You're watching it backwards" No! Really? I had no clue I was watching the show the wrong way! </sarcasm>
@Madc0w: What version of Flash Player do you have? You may need to update.

stairway to heaven doesn't make much sense forwards--it's amazing that people have any respect for the 'correct' version of it. And while some may argue, there's quite a bit of evidence that the song was written this way intentionally.
they cut Hotel California off before the interesting parts, find a better masking site. Though it's one of the most evil songs that I can name, the backmasking is probably not intentional. The song says all it needs to say in its proper direction.
I didn't know about the eminem one though--I have some respect for the man now. For all the time I spent attempting this skill.

I think your clue on that one was that it doesn't make any sense when played forwards, which really isn't backmasking. Why it's on the page is beyond me, half the metal CDs out have that garbage in them.HomicidalBarber wrote:Im pretty sure the wierd al one was on purpose haha, only he could think of something like "Satan eats cheese wiz" or what ever it was
still that eminem one is really art. The talent probably isn't him though. I imagine they're very carefully constructed loops on the recording and live performances will not have quite the same impact (but then maybe he's done it enough to have it down).
you're all probably too young to remember the TV show Twin Peaks, but if you have a chance, check it out. Entire scenes were performed backwards by the actors, (dialog and all) and then those scenes were played back in reverse, giving a very strange forward effect. The trick did eventually get old, but it was certainly very 'david lynch.'
