Seems like we need something fun to do around here...
So what kind of pet do you like the best? I like cats. You can cuddle them and pet them, but you don't have to take them outside at 3 AM in the middle of winter so they can do their buisness.
Remember, all the choices above can be plural, so don't say "But I have 3 but it only says 1 in the poll".

I was seriously tempted to select "rock," becuase my older sister actually has a pet rock
I have two lovely white rats (how dare you not mention rats!). Both female, one named Vixen and the other Swift. I don't use their names, though, because they look almost identical. Well, Swift is just a tad smaller, thinner, and more hyper-active than Vixen, but besides that!
I don't need to let my rats out at 3 AM in the winter to do their business, either

I have a cat and two basset hounds. Everythng else is a wet match in a dark cave in comparison.

I have a dog, but he's getting old and recently he's developed a sort of paralysis in his face. He can still chew and everything, but its a lot more lopsided, and since the muscles on the sides of his mouth are paralyzed, foot bubbles out there. Its really kind of creepy. Oh well, he's still a great dog. Dumber than a bag of hammers, but still compliant.

I selected rodents, but my family also has a dog named Shadow (go-figure, we were rather young at the time), and about 4 gerbils, give-or-take a few.
Shadow's rather enormous, weighing in at 140 pounds (but in no way overweight), but he is started to get old. I'm amazed when he shows that he can still see more than ten feet infront of his face
All of the gerbils are over 4 years old. The two I care for (aside from the young rats) are mostly senile now. One Almost died of cancer, but than miraculously recovered. It just shows that my masculine aura has healing powers!
