I guide would really be the only way.
not true! theres only 387,420,489 combinations!

What sucks is that when you want to arrange a color, so you finish one side, the OTHER side is messed up, hate it SO much

Look in my sig, I think its there.

EDIT -- No its not, its here:

EDIT EDIT -- If I had a camcorder I could make a video, but I dont, so I cant, unless I use my friends, which is very possible, but probably wont happen. I solve it step by step, which is kind of bad if you want a female of the dog species' time, the really fast guys will do several steps in one combination.

I learned how to do a rubik's cube in the summer of '04. It's been a while since I've solved one, but I think my best time ever was about 1 minute and 9 seconds.

9^6 = 531441

Of course, I dunno if the odds are really thus, because the middle ones are always stuck in the middle, and the other eight are all physically connected to other squares.

Normal computation of odds won't work here.
Warranty-Voiding fun!

When solving the number of possibilites for any of the rubik's cubes, it involves exclamation points and a crap of powers, a lot more complex then 9^6.

yeah i think there is some
361000000000000 possibilities we went over this in geometry the other day cause our teacher didnt have anything to do  he also said if you did one combination every second it would take you like 5160years or something

Big coincidence. There was a digg story about just this subject on the front page last night. Basicly the person who dugg the story is trying to solve the thing in 30 or less. So if your looking to solve the damn thing check that out. Also I dont know if that many stories got promoted but you might have to look on the second page if it was push back.

My dad taught me how to do it a long time ago, I can do it pretty fast, around a minute thirty seconds each time. I also have one of these:
