Wow so the dish does suck.

Yeah get cable, I have basic and I have G4 (not that I watch it that much). Also when you get cable through the right carrier you can get broadband. No satillite provider can give you internet.

I don't heart Comcast.

We have the expanded cable plan, which includes Cartoon Network, FOX News, CNN, TLC, etc... but no G4, no HBO or any of its spinoff networks...

Yes I have analog cable. I'm not ashamed to admit it.

In fact...
I HAVE ANALOG CABLE!:P

I basically watch TLC, Fox News, and the Discovery Channel. I honestly don't care that I don't have G4. Sure TechTV was something I wanted, but after the merger... well you know the story. ;)

I don't get Comcast's internet service, I get Verizon DSL. Sure, people ay that cable internet is faster, but I honestly can't tell any difference. It's not just about local speeds, the speed at which the server puts out information is just as, if not more, important. And what about all the features like the streaming videos and the included email? Why bother? Most of those videos can be found online anyways, and most of the time I just listen to internet radio anyways. And the email? Gmail gives you 2 gigs of space, and they're always giving you more.

Hell, I'll go one step farther than you, bico.

I DON'T HAVE CABLE! I HAVE AN ANTENNA!

When all you watch is PBS, what more do you need?

Zing!

Oh no! Suicide Zing! :P

Well we have an antenna on the TVs at school, it works OK for the local stations, but WGBH PBS Boston, PBS 44 (providence) and a few other ststions don't come in at all unless the antenna is outside on a chair. (Yes we did that. :P)

I got cable with Tivo. Its great. There is a way you can hook up tivo to the computer and it will save the files there. It is definatley worth its price.
