Golden Sun is pretty female of the dog species. 2 is also good, but I got stuck on the first tower and gave up.

DBZ: Buu's Fury
Riviera
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Gekitou Advance (not really a RPG, but it has really good clean animations)
Current Status: Single and Portableless.

I've been meaning to sit down and give Lufia and Lunar a go for quite a while, but I've been too glued to that zelda minish cap game to get to it.

also to try:
Tactics Ogre--if you don't mind strategy
mega man battle network (I could only really get into the first one)
phantasy star collection, if you haven't played them on other systems

I gave up on golden sun--I was a fair piece into it, but the puzzles and backtracking started to really bother me. and I just couldn't make myself care about the second one.

What's that game that you have to play in the sun? That game looks pretty cool (vampires need not apply)...
