Someone taking credit for my work.

Post by darkuncle33 » Mon Oct 24, 2011 11:40 pm

HI
A person that subs my youtube channel sent me a message about one of my xbox laptops being discussed on The Tech Game website. I had a look to see what they were saying about it and found that the dude who bought it from me is calming he made it. The worst part is he is lying about what it took to make it. I really don't know if I should be angry or laughing my A@# off. Should I call him out? Or Should I ignore it.
Here is the like to the post. http://www.thetechgame.com/Forums/t=240 ... aptop.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I have a video of that Xbox laptop made just before I did the hinge covers. I did a post on it to get some feedback on my design here about 2 weeks ago.

Call him out.

He's a liar and an idiot and deserves to be put in his place.

I got the same advice from a friend. This morning the guy sent me an email saying he would delete all the posts claiming he was the builder.

OH, no I didn't. I sent him a cease and desist letter and I reported him to the site admenadministrator. As far as him trying it somewere else all I can do is keep my eye open for that. I checked the site and the admen has closed the post .Is there some other action I should be taking? Any advice?
Thanks.

If you make any in the future, figure out a nice-looking way of engraving something like "Built by darkuncle33" into the plastic.

Fight MS Paint abominations! If you don't have a camera, go here, and pick something 3 megapixels or higher.

From now on I am going to air brush my logo on the lcd bezel and put a bar code sticker with made by "" on it.

He sent me pics of it today showing me a big dent In the front asking if I dropped it or if it was damaged in shipping.
1, I would never send a damaged build to a customer. I don't think any modder would.
2, I packed in 2" of bubble wrap in a box then packed that box in a bigger box with bubble wrap and packing peanuts. There is no way it got damaged in shipping without the box being totally crushed. It was insured but it is too late now. There is nothing I can do if it did happen in shipping. If he got it and the box was crushed and it was damaged I would have heard about it from him right then.
3, I have pics of it just before I shipped it with no dent.

I have the same problem dude, some guy was saying my old freewebs site was his work and using it as "Proof" that he could build. Best thing to do is call him out on every thing he ever posts on the net. I did and I dont know if it stopped, but I got a new website.

EDIT: I created an account there and called him out on it, I got your back

I love the part where he keeps saying "I won't make any more and I'm not selling it" even though no-one asked
