Hello all,
After completing my universal video interface (SD 480i) I was looking into wireless HD one. Searching around the internet I was able to gather few interesting facts:
1. Wireless HD Standard - WHDI (http://www.whdi.org/)
A lot of companies support this.
2. Wireless HD Transmitter/Receiver Kit:
There are few kits available ranging from $129 - $249
I like this one: http://usa.asus.com/Networks/Home_Enter ... st_EW2000/

6.With AV input and output Function.
7.Can connect to headphone jack without didisrubing others.
8.TV function for preseting to 200 channels, wiith full covered cable Reference.
4. Battery:
The last battery that I got from batteryspace.com should be fine (7.4V @ 6800mAh)
You are probably looking at 2-3 hrs of battery life.
Since I already spent about $350 on my current setup I might do something like that next year where the prices will be lower.
It would be interesting to see if anyone else is interested in making a portable HD Wireless Video Inteface for PS3, Xbox 360 or even PC
The screen size can be anything that You can convert HDMI to (HDMI to DVI or HDMI to VGA). You can use Laptop screens etc.
I would love to see people who already created Wireless WVI to do the HD one (Looking at you Techknott and Narik)

Re: Universal Wireless Video Interface (HD Edition - Research)
I am already working on a PC/360 WVI using that very same product, with a 5.6" screen I have. Here are two terrible phone camera pics I snapped, the first shows it playing Portal, the second shows the size of the WiCast receiver board compared to screen.
Excellent

Hey palmertech,
That is an awsome setup
Did you calculate or measure the power/amp usage of the ASUS hardware?
I found out that receiver is about 10 Watts. But what about current draw?

Re: Universal Wireless Video Interface (HD Edition - Research)
Thanks! The screen is really nice, 1280x800, 5.6". The PPI is insane!
The power draw varies, I need to do more testing. At 720p resolution, I can get 60 or 70 feet of range through a single wall, quite a bit better than it does at 1080p. My rough estimate of the draw is 600-700ma at 5v. I am sure it can draw more under certain scenarios, so like I said, needs more testing.

That sounds very promising. Lets say the system with 5.6" or 7" HD monitor takes about 1500mAh, you can get about 4-5 hrs of 7.4V @ 6800mAh battery. That battery is only like $60 at batteryspace.com !! I would like you to create a topic in Xbox 360 forum so we can follow your progress . It would be nice to see what parts/cost are you using etc. 5.6" HD screen @ 1280x768 sounds insane
Good luck on your work !!!!
