A flashlight made from an emergency lighting console

I made this flashlight by re-wiring the box of some reject merchandise my local industrial tool store gave me for free. I made a video about it since I was just proud to build a contraption that Benjamin Heckendorn may become impressed by.

Sometimes when merchandise is so defective that it becomes "unsellable", I have the brains to turn it into something useful for the household. Since flashlights have been a staple in portable emergency equipment, I figured I have pulled off a brilliant attempt to upcycle rejected merchandise.

This homemade flashlight uses a rechargeable 6-volt battery, simply because the original product used it. I bet we could just use a trickle charger with 6-volt charging mode to recharge this flashlight. Because there was an arch-shape on this homemade flashlight, it immediately met the portability criteria for flashlight use.
