Hi. I have never really seen anyone post here anything about an iPhone, so I hope someone knows what im talking about below...
Anyway,
I got an iPhone 3G and it has the 'cable into iTunes' logo.
(I have tried resetting it in iTunes of course but that is just no0by and fails instantly)
Tried also using Redsn0w, Greenpois0n, Recboot and Limera1n but nothing works.
I can get it into DFU mode but Greenpois0n will not detect it.
Limera1n just sites there saying 'In DFU mode... WAIT...'.
The only one that works well and gets the furthest is Redsn0w.
I tried a tethered boot in Redsn0w, and it just sits there with the pineapple logo on boot.
Also tried a normal Jailbreak and it crashes...
I am loading the latest FW 'iPhone1,2_4.1_8B117_Restore.ipsw'.
I have tried older FW's, but no luck...
Any ideas?

Re: iPhone Booting Issue
Solved
Ran Recboot and kicked it out of Recovery Mode.
I then ran F0recast to see what Firmware was on the iPhone and it was 3.1.2.
Then, I ran Redsn0w with the 3.1.2 firmware loaded, and installed that.
Once it rebooted, I kicked it out of Recovery Mode again (using Recboot) and unplugged the iPhone.
Turned it off, plugged it in while iTunes was running and it asked me to update carrier settings. Did that, and it was all good.
This was while a sim card was installed AFTER Recboot was initiated.
